Kaffeemitte, Berlin

Berlin Art Blog presents

Kaffeemitte, Berlin

The city as the gallery the gallery is on the road or in this case in a cafe.
Berlin as Art city but only limited liability.
The artist has to prove that this Craft is worth his time.
Art in everyday life is like mold on the Doener.

The food is good in the Café Kaffeemitte and the Art is served for free as a side dish.
Love goes is not only through the stomach but here it also goes through the Art.

'Organiche/Geometriche': Valentina Bardazzi at The Ballery, Berlin

Berlin Art Blog presents

'Organiche/Geometriche': Valentina Bardazzi at The Ballery, Berlin

Valentina Bardazzi at The Ballery, Berlin

'Organiche/Geometriche'

is an exhibition, is an invitation to look closer at life and Art and where it overlaps to create a symbiotic relationship that benefits society as awhole.

Italian artist Valentina Bardazzi has the education ,talent, skill and craft to translate for us the symbolism of the old masters so we can see anew and participate not just as viewers but also as thinkers.

What we see is more than just replicas of the familiar but a cornucopia of styles that don't shy away from geometric mathematics or the organically by chance splotch of coffee with its own logic of pattern making and yes beauty. All of her works are literally drenched in unashamed beauty as if she tries to remind us that yes the ordinary is nothing but such.

We have become blind to the natural wonders us included and Art is the road sign that will never cease to point us back to the roots.
Artist like Valentina continue in the tradition of Michael Angelo but this time free from the control or monopoly from church or state and are so enabled to lead us towards a world of self-expression and yes with all its own shortcomings.

'Organiche/Geometriche' breaks down the norm in normal and reinvestigates its potential for variation. Beauty and decay are not set in contrast to each other other but in harmony. In doing so the old paradigm shifts from the body as a tragic vehicle destined to decompose to the creation of new compositions out of the torn and worn as base for fresh life full of untamed visions.

"Face time Berlin" paintings by Richard Schemmerer

"Face time" paintings by Richard Schemmerer

Face time one on one

at he end of the road is a sign that says start over
at he end of the road is a sign that says new beginning
which sign do you follow which sign is meant for you
sometimes to start over is seen as a curse but
it offers the chance for a new beginning a way
to reinvent oneself the self that has run out
of the possibility to grow according to the laws
that have established the rules of the day
we live in are born in created in accordance
to our upbringing and our imagination which
we have to face from time to time to be able
to ajust our own trajectory if we got of the course
that leads to prosperity in the face of unity

at he end of the road is a sign that says new beginning
am Ende der Strasse ist das zeichen das sagt Neubeginn

FaceTime facing the extreme

FaceTime reinventing the mind

at he end of the road is a sign that says start over

The Berlin Report: Zeichen der Zeit -- Signs of the time

The Berlin Report: Zeichen der Zeit -- Signs of the time

the dog days are never over

but life has it's wonderous moments

which can make it all worth its price

if you can get yourself to see it that way

some say its priceless but

the truth is it does cost ones life

die hunde tage sind nie vorbei

aber das leben hat seine wunderbaren momente

das es alles scheinbar wert macht

wenn du es schaffts es so zu sehen

manche sagen es ist preis less

aber es kosted einen das leben

The Berlin Report: Die Avantgarde ist am Leben -- The Avangarde is alive by Richard Schemmerer

Richard Schemmerer: Die Avantgarde ist am Leben -- The Avangarde is alive

The Avantgarde is alive
The Avantgarde ist am leben

Worte sind wie Springbrunnen
Willkommene Frische aus der tiefe der Seele

Words are like fountains
Welcome refreshment from the depth of the soul

Neue Gedanken kuemmern sich wenig
Mit den Schwingungen der Geschmecker

New thoughts could care less
About the ups and downs of tastes

Endlos ist das Ziel
Die Avantgarde ist am Leben

Never ending is the goal
The Avantgarde is alive

Der Staus Quo ist immer am Sterben
Auch when er es nicht weiss

The Status Quo is constantly dying
Without knowing that it is

Die Norm can sich nur wiederrufen
Denn die Situation bleibt niemals die Selbe

The norm can only contradict itself
Because the situation stays never the same

Auch wenn du den Atem anhaelts
Geht die Zeit weiter ohne Bereuung

Even if you hold your breath
The time moves on without regret

Denn eine tote Avantgarde
Ist immer noch besser

Because a dead Avantgarde
is still better

Ist immer noch mehr am leben
als eine lebende veralterte Sichtweise

is still more alive than
a living but out dated mode of observation

Richard Schemmerer: Welcome Stranger , Willkommen Fremder! Aber Hallo Berlin

Richard Schemmerer: Welcome Stranger , Willkommen Fremder! Aber Hallo Berlin

We are all strangers

wir sind alle Fremde
wir sind die Kunst zum Leben
wir sind der Atemlose Raum
der auf unsere erwartungen reagiert

but we are also all possible future friends
aber wir sind auch moegliche zukuenftige Freunde

My Berlin is an over view about all things "Berlin"
Mein Berlin ist ein Ueberblick ueber "Berlin"
und die Kunst zu leben

Brent Wadden "about Time" at Perez Projects Berlin

Brent Wadden "about Time" at Perez Projects

Art commentary by Richard Schemmerer

Its "About Time"

Irregular triangles compete for center stage trying to connect with each other at various points like in a ritualistic dance or a menagerie of geometry that doesn't care about its boundaries.

These works don't arise from some computer generated grid but are guided by the mental brush that is held by a steadfast fast hand. The human touch seems to be at the center of this these woven tableaus with there primitive message calling us to find a way back to the roots of existence.

"The human experience is basically irrational." Keith Haring, 1984.

This a lovely quote that describes this conundrum, our conundrum to try to be more than we are by reducing everything into logic and binary codes. Doesn't that sound like putting lip stick on a donkey hoping it turns into a pretty girl.

These paintings are pretty in a sense that they are pleasant to look at in their muted monochromatic shading. They are non threatening while life is constantly threatening us with extinction of we don't behave.

We want to reject that notion of contemporality and aim for longevity but the only thing we can hope for is that our Art outlives us.

In today's world we have the luxury to design our world around us but it is about time that we realize that this is a luxury that can't be sustained. We are crafted in the image of Nature not to supersede its purpose.

Brent Wadden's paintings are crafted, designed and inspired. They weave disparate techniques, styles and concepts into a cohesive fabric to remind us that besides being an individual we are also a tapestry held together by the same strands of ideas. If one unravels all others fall apart with it.

His work seems to try to remind us that sure life is flawed but it is the only one we have.
